How does StepUp Collective work?
Using the StepUp Collective mobile app is a great way to keep track of your daily activity and help the causes that matter most to you.
Every 1,000 steps you take earns you 1 ad view. When you watch it, at least half of the ad revenue goes to your chosen charity or not-for-profit organization.
StepUp Collective sends the donations on your behalf every quarter (January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1), once an organization's combined total from all users reaches $50 CAD. Anything below that carries over to the next quarter.
You don't need an account to walk and donate, but signing in to the app unlocks more:
1. Create or join teams and take part in team challenges
2. See how much you've contributed to your chosen organization(s)
3. Keep your step history and move it to a new device
4. Get updates about new features and improvements to the app

Absolutely not!
Whether you're walking and donating, or you're a charity or non-profit receiving donations, StepUp Collective is 100% free for everyone. There are NO hidden costs or fees.

How much will a charity make from my activity?
Every 1,000 steps earns 1 ad view, and at least half of the revenue from each ad view goes to your chosen charity or not-for-profit organization. The more you walk, the more you give!
And you're not walking alone: other people support the same organizations, so the total donated to each one can add up quickly!

What else can I do in the app?
Besides counting your steps:
Teams: create or join up to 5 teams of up to 50 people and see each other's steps from the last 7 days (anyone can turn sharing off).
Challenges: team goals, races and daily streaks that your team can opt into.
Achievements: earn badges as you reach new milestones.
Favorites: star the organizations you care about and switch who you support at any time.
Statistics: your daily, weekly and monthly steps, calories and distance.

There's no catch, and it never costs you anything. Seriously!
StepUp Collective is built and maintained by one developer to give back to the community. At least half of the ad revenue from your views goes to your chosen organization. The rest covers the costs of running StepUp Collective, such as servers, app store fees and ongoing development.
